Nursery Trend: Oversized Florals

The bold, girly trend showing up more and more in modern nurseries this year is oversized florals. This really does make decorating the nursery simple. You just keep things basic and let the walls do all the talking.

The bold letterpress posters from Paper Jam Press are singing out even louder in their reincarnation as Blik Wall Decals.  How is this possible?  Well, with a choice of color and different sizes, you can make your favorite lyric shout from your walls.

Ferm Living Fall 2013

Sharpen your pencils, you’re going to be adding lots of Ferm Living to your wish list.  Their fall 2013 catalog came out today and my head is spinning with the possibilities.  Here’s a taste of what’s new for kids this season.  It will all be available shortly.

The new flag bunting  comes in three color combinations- blue (shown), olive, and peach.  New wall stickers include mini dots, mini hearts, mini clouds and mini stars.

The new wall lamps are now in color instead of just wood.  The mushroom lamp is show below but there is also a tree, house, deer, car and cloud.

The new kids patterns this season are Kite and Cloud.  You can find them as wallpaper and bedding in two different colors.  Here you can see the Kite wallpaper in rose/mint/aubergine/wine with a cloud lamp and one of the new kids pillows.

Here you can see the Cloud wallpaper in Rose with the Kite baby bedding.

Below you have the Cloud wallpaper in Mint with the new Bear Quilted Blanket.

The new kids pillows feature dusty pastels and cute characters.  Pick the cat, dog, bear or plane cushions.

Pair the character pillows with your choice of Dots cushions or use them on their own.

Finally, the new Kite Mobile is adorable and kinda ties the whole new collection together.
