Kid Made Modern for Halloween

As if the Kid Made Modern art and craft supplies weren’t cool enough, don’t miss their Halloween collection.  I saw some of it at my local Target just the other day.

With guest artists Charley Harper and Patrick Hruby, the craft kits are as cool as can be.

I can’t wait to do our Halloween decorating.  I try really hard to restrain myself until October 1st, but starting next week there will be no stopping me (except for maybe my budget!).

Treat Her To Something Special: Personalized Mother’s Day Cards

Tiny Prints (which is now part of Shutterfly) has broken off my beloved greeting card service onto a new website at Treat.com.  There you can find the same great service, designs and convenient shipping and delivery that I’ve raved about in the past.  They make it so simple to make greeting cards that moms will never want to throw away.  These are the ones that stay taped to the refrigerator door or even get framed!  I send them to my mom, mother-in-law, and grandmothers from both my husband and myself as well as from my boys.

Here is one of the cards we send out last year (find the card from the year before as well).

Here are a few more I’m considering for this year…

If you don’t like the text on some of these, don’t worry because you can change it!

Even designs without photos on the cover can have a favorite picture printed on the inside, and many of the cards have text that can be customized and personalized as well.

You can customize your cards today and have them sent directly to you OR you can schedule it so that treat ships them out just in time for Mother’s Day.  For just $2 to $3, these aren’t more expensive that cards you’d pick up at the drugstore, so there’s no reason not to give them a try!

Tiny Prints (treat) are an affiliate of mine, but I’m truly a loyal customer regardless.  Looking back at my order history, I have sent 50 personalized greeting cards so far and someday hope to receive one myself!

Happy Hanukkah!

Tonight marks the first night of Hanukkah so I rounded up a few holiday picks for you.  This Chanukah Set from KidKraft is the most popular (and excellent) Hanukkah toy out there. I highly recommend this for any child who celebrated Hanukkah.  It’s in short supply this time of year, but if you pick it up out of season, you can find a good deal on it.

I liked the Menorah toy they had at Pottery Barn Kids this year also, but it looks like it sold out.

I also found a few more Hanukkah items/gifts:

Sevi Von – A unique DIY Dreidel for Hanukkah– 19.90 from Limor Yaron
Modern Style Hanukkah Menorah in Wood The Family Heirloom by Little Alouette 10 piece set- $65 from Little Alouette
Wooden Puzzle Hanukkah Menorah- $37
Uncle Goose Hebrew ABC Blocks– $33

Chag Hanukkah Sameach!
