I’m so pleased to have discovered this fresh nursery on the lovely blog You’re So Martha. Justine, who is expecting Henry’s arrival any time now, has a spectacular space to welcome him home to. Using just a hint of a nautical “overtone,” this room comes together perfectly.
I love the soothing gray with navy aqua and orange as color accents. Even the small name canvas on the wall make such a great impact. It’s so simple and so perfect.
In this wide-angle view of the room, you can see the layout of the entire nursery.
I like seeing a glider near the crib. It makes it so much easier to rock a baby to sleep and then transfer them to the crib if you don’t have to cross the entire room. It’s also a good place to sit when trying to comfort a baby back to sleep when you don’t want to grab them out of the crib.
The reading bench summarizes the scheme of the room perfectly. It’s a great spot where all the colors in the room come together and it’s a great way to add storage to an awkward spot under the window.
The table right next to the glider is another excellent addition. As you can see, it is perfect for current reading materials as well as a glass of water.
The dip-dyed leg look is super cool right now as well!
Justine’s combination of fabrics comes together in the flag bunting and the custom bedding looks so fresh and beautiful.
The changing area is a roomy dresser with an in-progress photo wall and topped with a DIY tray.
Here’s the inspiration Justine put together for the room back in February. Don’t you love how it came to life? If you have a clear plan and vision for your space, even with a few changes, you’ll be able to achieve the look you’re going for.
Thanks so much Justine for sharing your wonderful photos with us! Best of luck with Henry’s arrival. There’s so much fun to come!
