These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

I enjoyed this e tells tales nursery tour on Chic Spaces for Little Faces.   There are a lot of inspirational ideas in this cute little room.

Chalk + Dot has earned yet another spot in my weekly roundup with this Dad’s Den-Inspired Nursery.  I love the library feel in this mood board.  It kinda reminds me of my dad’s den including his (at one time) love for Danish furniture.
This “Hugs Keep Us Alive” Anatomic Print on ohdeedoh also reminds me of my dad (a radiologist).
Finally, I was delighted by these Animal FootPrint Sandals on Paper Tiaras.  So much fun!
Have a great weekend!  We’ll be seeing Cars 2 this weekend– very exciting!

First of all, I have to show you this incredible (Not So) Mellow Yellow Mood Board from chalk + dot.  Just paint the walls your favorite shade of gray and you’ve good to go!  Visit the post for all the sources and the inspiration.

I seriously had no idea you could do this, but Honey & Fitz shared their secret of Converting an upholstered chair into a swivel glider.  There is no longer any acceptable reason to have an ugly rocker or glider in you home.

Being a Floridian, I had to take note of babyology’s A Flock of Flamingos.  Such a fun roundup (even though I’ve never actually seen a Flamingo in Florida!).

Coos & Ahhs rocked another “Word of the Week” post (they’re all incredible) with this super-fun elephant roundup.  Twenty-two wonderful elephants 🙂

Remember Chic & Cheap Nursery’s guest post from last week?  Well, (of course) she’s come up with a few more affordable options to get the look for the Pink & Navy Preppy Nursery.  See Save vs. Splurge: Affordable Copy Cats for all her finds.

I really liked seeing the DwellStudio wall decals in Baby Ainslie’s nursery on ohdeedoh.

Kenziepoo’s “Turn This Room Into An Outfit” posts always rock.  I especially like this one because I love that particular photo of Ruby and Sebastian’s Room.

Paul & Paula posted “A few etsy favorites” and found a great collection of fun things.  I am seriously considering these ice cream stamps.  Very cute!

Finally, Chic & Cheap Nursery had some great inspiration and tips for creating your own “Rock Star Bookcase“.  These ideas could be applied very well in a nursery!

So that’s my final post before we leave for vacation this afternoon.  I’ve got a fun-filled week planned for you here though.  A full schedule of guest posts will keep you inspired and informed.  Just wait and see!

First up, I love this Mermaid Nursery Mood Board by Brieanne on chalk + dot.  From the wallpaper to the Matte Stephens print and the CB2 pouf, this is a look that I can really get behind.  Very creative.  Well done.

The Insekt Kids Desk on handmade charlotte is a fabulous design.  It’s available for pre-order (699 EUR from The Netherlands) and comes in yellow and pink.  I’d like an orange one please.

Amanda from Coos & Ahhs was inspired by her son’s favorite word of the week to put together this adorable dog roundup, Word of the Week: Dog Dog Dog! There are more picks to see if you visit the post.

The Smaller blog from the editors of Small magazine posted about the online offerings of the shop Specks and Keepings.  These mobiles are particularly incredible.

My Mom Shops got a Sneak Peek of Skip Hop’s Newest Products at their offices in NYC and snapped some pictures of some of their latest designs.  I’m going to be waiting on the new backpack designs for when my son starts preschool in the fall!

Have a wonderful weekend.  Next week is birthday as well as my oldest’s preschool graduation!  I’ve also got to start packing for our upcoming vacations.  Lots of excitement in the near future!

Petit Eco Kids picked five favorite map/travel themed items.  My favorite is this vintage globe by ImagineNations.

Amanda at Coos & Ahhs put together this “Bright Out” toddler’s room collection to celebrate spring.  I love the fun bright colors and fun accessories.  Click the link to see the rest of it!

Inhabitots showed us how you can “Get Organized with 3 Sprouts Organic Storage Caddy.”  The 3 Sprouts bins are fun, but these caddies are a great addition to the collection.  I especially like the mouse and there’s also a beaver.

Chalk + dot put together this chic nursery mood board “Up, Up, and Away!” inspired by airplane travel.  A great mix of styles.

Finally, since my oldest is going to be 5 1/2 on Monday, this Tooth Fairy post on tiny & little really caught my eye.  I just know he’s going to start losing those adorable little baby teeth any time now 🙁

Finally this week, I have to share this adorable yet somewhat impractical Training Dresser from Peter Bristol that I first spotted on ohdeedoh.  Since then it’s been making the blog rounds.  You can see more about the dresser on peterbristol.net.  It’s also available in a girl version.

Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend with your friends and family.

I loved this rocking and riding toy roundup, “For Your Wee Ones: Rock ‘n’ Roll“, on Spearmint Baby.  Lauren from With Two Cats, is really knocking ’em outta the park over there.

The latest “Get the Look” post on hoolaboola is full of nursery ideas and inspiration.  There’s so much there to love– you have to take a look.

I’ve been meaning to put together one of these “Online Magazine Round-Up” posts, but bloesem kids has it covered.  If you’ve heard about these but haven’t gotten around to checking them out, or if you’ve got a few you like and want to see more, go read the post.

I love these “Woop Studios Animal Prints” found on design*sponge.  Any of them could be great nursery art.

Finally, get a load of this incredible train table design I first spotted on Minor Details.  As it stands, it’s art, but there’s real potential in that idea!

Train Table by Tomm Velthuis

Feel free to share your favorite posts in the comments and have a wonderful weekend.  We’re kicking it off with a play date and back to back birthday parties.  That reminds me, I’ve got some gifts to shop for!

Nursery Notations shared some fabulous inspiration boards designed by Jennifer DeLonge that were published in the latest issue of the online magazine, Nesting Newbies.
Nicole shared pictures of Toy Storage in Eleanor’s New Room on Making it Lovely.  I’ve had that Land of Nod Mojo play table on my wish list for a very long time now and I really like the Oak Park Elementary Bookcases (as well as the rest of the Oak Park collection).  It’s exciting to see them used in an actual (and very lovely) space.

There’s an abundance of colorful treasures in this Shared Nursery/Bedroom on Spearmint Baby! There’s a lot to love in this space.
Mari discovered these dolls from Kra Kra Craft in A Scarf Above the Rest on Small For Big.  Yet another reason I need a little girl.
Lauren, of With Two Cats, shared these Simply Adorable photos of the fabric decals from Chocovenyl.  How can you not love those hot air balloons?  The vintage looking cars are something to consider as well!
Enjoy all these great posts and have a terrific weekend and a very happy Mother’s Day!  We will be celebrating with a three day weekend that includes a visit from my parents 🙂

I agree with Ohdeedoh that elephants are on the rise, and I liked their roundup of Elephant Mobiles for the Nursery.  I particularly love the new Bamboo and Wool Felt Mobile Elephant Mobile from Petit Collage shown below.

I’m always happy to see the High vs Low posts on Nursery Notations.  This week Andrika shared Patterned Animal Silhouettes.

The winner of Babyology’s $10,000 nursery makeover competition had her baby and brought her home to this gorgeous nursery.  Dream nursery indeed!

I really like Hoolaboola’s Get the Look: Green post and look forward to more of their series on designing and decorating childrens’ rooms.

Modern Parents Messy Kids had a terrific post about Stylish and Stimulating Storage for Kids (which included a photo from my nursery tour from Monday).  I love the canvas bins below and am always heartbroken to see they are only available in the UK.  They’re exactly what I need (but I’d like boys shoes and boy dress up images on the front).

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.  We have the last T-ball game of the season tomorrow and both boys have swimming lessons on Sunday.  I’m also starting a project to decorate the boys’ bathroom a bit.  Gotta buy paint so I’ll be visiting our local Benjamin Moore store.
