Etsy Find: Crib Bedding and Changing Table Covers from Iviebaby

Finding the perfect modern baby bedding is a big challenge. When we planned our son’s nursery, it was definitely the most frustrating part of the design process. We wanted the perfect combination of patterns, colors and softness.

Iviebaby on Etsy offers baby bedding and changing pad covers in some amazing modern patterns and colors and even has several organic options.

From the charcoal arrow changing pad cover ($35)

to the fitted crib sheet in coral foxes ($40)

…everything screams cool and modern in this Etsy shop. With many fabric styles and colors, I found options for almost any nursery color palette and theme.

When my little guy was very young, finding stylish rail guards was impossible. We were lucky that a friend let us use hers since it wasn’t something we planned for.

Iviebaby’s custom nursery guards in black and white arrows ($108) would be a fun pop of design and very practical once teething begins.

I could go on and on and I am definitely itching to design a nursery around some of my favorite options. Visit iviebaby for more options.

Hanger Buddiez: Cuteness in the Closet

My toddler son just recently started picking out some of his own clothes. We definitely spend more time in the closet since this new interest has come about. We received a sample of Hanger Buddiez from SillyBranz Global recently and the new hangers definitely made my son one happy boy in the mornings.

The hangers come in several styles including zoo animals, pets, farm animals and monsters. My 2-year-old son, who requested a cow themed 2nd birthday party, of course chose the farm animals as an instant favorite.

The hangers look great and colorful in his closet and have held up his clothes well. They are definitely the right size for his 2T and 24 month clothing but would’ve been too large for most of his under 1-year items.

Packs of 16 hangers retail for about $14.

Etsy Find: Quirky Mobiles from Pink Cheeks Studios

Finding the perfect mobile for baby’s nursery was one of the hardest things for me during nursery planning. I ended up giving up and going with a paper lantern cluster instead, but when I find something unique, it makes me want to start all over with another very neutral nursery.

These mobiles could be the star of any nursery and would be easy to plan around.

And they would transition well from infant to toddler rooms. The playful characters add charm and fabrics are customizable so matching your nursery decor is easy.

Travel Inspired Nursery Art

My obsession with travel-inspired nursery art and other little details started when we decided to change our nursery into a toddler or big-boy room recently.

Our toddler room has a subtle travel theme and in the process of putting it all together, I came across a few gems.

Here are five great modern and affordable options for your travel-themed nursery.

Leaving on a jet plane print by Violet May on Etsy ($28)

Bon Voyage Airplane Garland by Le Petite Fest on Etsy ($12)

Oh the places you’ll go world map print by Ink of Me on Etsy ($15)

Bild poster from Ikea ($5)

Around the World letters from Urban Outfitters ($12)

Little Partners Learning Tower

Our little guy loves to help out in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the step stool we have has caused quite a few minor injuries and a lot of anxiety for mom and dad.

A friend recently recommended the Little Partners Learning Tower ($199) and after many stressful cooking situations, we decided to purchase the tower in apple green.

The Learning Tower works for kids from 18 months to age six or up to 500 pounds, which makes it completely worth the investment for our family.

Our son is now involved in cooking dinner every single night thanks to this safe option for him.

While the Learning Tower has been a great investment for our family, it is pretty large and fairly heavy, so you do need to have a larger kitchen.

The Learning Tower comes in nine colors. We went with apple green, but you can choose from white, dark wood, light wood and several colors.

Little Partners also offers products to complement the Learning Tower including an attachable easel and playhouse kits.

Overall, it’s been a big improvement for us and cooking is fun again. How do you keep your little ones safe in the kitchen?
