My Modern Guest from Kid Crave

Brooke’s blog Kid Crave is one of my most essential resources, so I’m honored to share her nursery inspiration board as our guest post today!  I adore the inspiration she used and the result is fantastic.  I’ve been hesitant to use the Uptown Crib in any of my own designs but I’m so impressed with how Brooke used it here.

Candy Colored Nursery

When I spied the new Uptown Crib and Changer by House of Honey, I immediately thought of The Candy Room. The incredible hand drawn Australian candy store is filled with so much whimsy and excitement,  who wouldn’t want to sleep there? I couldn’t resist creating a playful, candy-colored nursery inspired by the store, even if it comes along with a not so sweet budget.

Using the posh pieces of furniture as a starting point, I matched the hand-drawn look with doodle-type photo frames, and then went crazy with splashes of bright color. DIY clear jars mimic the candy-store feel and will provide a home for cotton swabs and other grooming items, or later, small toys.
