Justina Blakeney at Pottery Barn Kids

The nursery sets from Pottery Barn Kids usually run a little too mainstream for my tastes, but this collection from Justina Blakeney is a surprise in the very best way. The Jungalino Baby Bedding is the centerpiece of the nursery set. The wonderful collection of colors and patterns includes a quilt, fitted sheet, bumper and decorative pillow.

I’m feeling the Geo Storage Basket with the bedding or anyplace in your home really. $80

I’m also really excited about the Felted Llama Mobiles as llamas are favorites at my house. $60

With the collection or on its own, the Justina Blakeney Sticks Activity Gym is a winning design. $127

Finish off the nursery design with the Ceramic Turtle Nightlight. $70

And if you want that Justina Blakeney flavor on the go, consider the Tigress Diaper Bag. It kinda reminds me of some bedding my parent had back in the 70s, and I mean that in a good way. $150

Shop this special collection while you can and check out the rest of it at potterybarnkids.com.

New Decor from The Land of Nod for Fall 2015

Now that we’ve gotten you all excited about the furniture from The Land of Nod for fall, you’ll really flip for these new decor items. Before you read any further, you might as well just go get your credit card out.

First there are three new mobiles. The Paper Mache Mobile designed by Kim Baise features a camp theme. The Celestial Mobile is part of the Lotta Jansdotter for Nod collection, and the Teepee Mobile is a cool laser-cut design.

The Land of Nod Mobiles

I have a feeling that the Turtle Floor Bin and Owl Hamper are going to be super popular. Let me know if you get one!

Woven hampers toy box

While there is no shortage of faux taxidermy options, these forest friends designed by Gingiber are heading to the top of my list.

In case the tent options you’ve seen before didn’t match your decor, perhaps the Urban Design Tent ($130)…

…or even the Geodesic Playhouse would fit right in.

Skip Hop Giveaway Winner!

With Skip Hop’s bath line, bath time will never be the same.  Their bath line more than doubled this year with new items like the Starfish Stay Stay-Put StackerOctopus Ring TossTurtle Island Playset and Soapster Foaming Soap Dispenser.

And the winner of all four of these wonderful new items is Lace who also discovered the Skip Hop Spout Covers and loves them!  Congratulations Lace!

There are two other new bath accessories in the collection (which some of you have already commented about): The Moby Bath Kneeler and the Moby Bath Spout Cover.  The Moby spout cover joins the Ducky spout cover so I’m going to venture to guess that we’ll see a Ducky Bath Kneeler eventually.  I’m just speculating though.

I also have to mention that just last week, the new Skip Hop diaper bags I told you about were released!  That’s right, you can now order your Jonathan Adler <3 Skip Hop Diaper Bags!

And your Skip Hop update would not be complete if I didn’t let you know that the Complete Sheets are on the Skip Hop website and should be shipping any day now!  The Complete Sheet features a different design on the top and on the sides of the sheet so that you can enjoy all the designer fun without the risk associated with crib bumpers.

My two favorites designs are Chocolate Lattice and Mod Dot.

I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of copycats of this idea in the years ahead, but for now, Skip Hop is blazing the trail and I’m excited and impressed.

Thanks to Skip Hop for this wonderful giveaway and for your constant creativity and innovation!  Follow them on twitter and facebook for the latest updates.

Etsy Find: Illustrations from TwoEms

These prints of Melenie Mikecz’s illustrations from her etsy shop TwoEms are just my cup of tea.  I love the great colors and bold shapes.  May I have one of each please?

Her animal prints include the Midnight Owl, Underwater Hippo, Turtle and Dragonfly, Good Morning Rooster as well as Purple African Elephant, Hummingbird in the Garden, Patterned Peacock, Colorful Snail and Two Whales.

I’m also very partial to the abstract designs like Abstract Arch Design, Bullseye Geometric Print, and Block Abstract Art Print.

Most prints cost between $23 and $26.
