Final Bugaboo Warhol Editions

All good things must come to an end, and while they’ve been around for more than 15 minutes, the Andy Warhol + Bugaboo collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation is coming to an end. The grand finale, the Retrospective Collection, is this set of four sun canopy prints (with free matching tote).

Coming Soon: What’s New from Mamas & Papas at ABC Kids Expo 2014

I looked for the perfect, reasonably priced, lightweight stroller for years, and now that I don’t need it anymore, I finally found the one I’ve always wanted (and lots more) at Mamas & Papas.

The Armadillo is an award winning stroller that is big on function but folds up small. I’m a fan, but now with the Armadillo Flip that can go forward or rear facing, I am 100% sold!

Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip

The Armadillo City is even lighter (about 15 lbs) and extra slim. This is the lightweight no-nonsense version.

Mamas & Papas

The Special Edition Mamas & Papas strollers really caught my eye as well. This Urbo2 is a limited edition with a great triangle print.

Special Edition for Mamas & Papas

The Mamas & Papas Signature Edition features a cute doodle fabric and a fun yellow handle.

The Special Edition Donna Wilson strollers aren’t new, but they’re still among my favorites. You can get an Urbo2 or Mylo2. Scroll down to see the matching diaper bag and you can purchase a matching toy as well!

This is another chic fabric coming out for the Urbo2– gotta love the tweed, and look out for other color options.

Mamas & Papas

I’m glad they’ve got a new neutral color for the Baby Bud Booster Seat

…and their Babyplay 4-in-1 Tummy Time Play & Explore Playmat was one of my favorite infant playmats at the show.

Mamas & Papas

There are plenty of cute diaper bags from Mamas & Papas including ones that match the special edition strollers, but my favorites are the solid bags that unfortunately aren’t in the photo.

Overall, a great showing from Mamas & Papas.

Coming Soon: Doona Infant Car Seat / Stroller at ABC Kids Expo 2014

I don’t understand why parents insist on carrying infant car seats around. They’re heavy, and when you add a baby, it’s just not a great way to tote around your little one. When not wearing baby or if your infant has fallen asleep in the car, a stroller base that accepts a car seat is a no brainer… but what if your car seat turned into the stroller? That’s the magic of Doona.  The infant car seat that converts into a stroller is coming this December.

Doona car seat

As a car seat, the Doona snaps right into its base, but once you remove it, popping it into stroller form is as easy as opening a basic stroller.

Doona

Doona has also designed diaper bags especially to maximize the functionality of your Doona.

There’s a bag made to hang from the handle and one made to fit perfectly across the back.

While I wouldn’t use a Doona as my only stroller, it’s a great solution for the little errands where you might otherwise resort to just carrying around the car seat.

The Doona Infant Seat accommodates babies from 4 to 35 lbs and up to 32 inches. It will retail for about $350.

Mima Strollers and High Chair

Since their US debut at the ABC Kids Expo in 2013, Mima has really taken the baby gear market by storm.  With a style that is part space pod and part luxury car interior Mima is becoming the new “it” brand for stylish urban moms.

Mima’s current US product line includes three strollers, the Xari, the Kobi and the Bo, and the Mima Moon high chair.

The Xari looks sleek with its leatherette fabric and high sitting position.  It transforms easily from bassinet to seat and is easy to fold and unfold.  The stroller starts at $1200.

Mima Xari

You can learn more about it in the Mima Xari Demo Video on youtube.

If it’s not cool enough for you as it is, the Black and White limited edition Xari should push it over the top!  Right on trend, the black and white edition is pretty hard to get your hands on.  In Canada, try here.  Ask your local retailer about it.

The Kobi is Mima’s double stroller.  With the same high-end look as the Xari, it can be configured as a buggy, a single forward facing stroller, a rear facing stroller, or a double with any combination of seats and bassinet.

The Kobi starts at $1350.

Mima’s lightweight stroller is the Bo.  Mima’s leatherette fabric elevates the look of this 15.5 pound stroller.

Mima Bo

It starts at $300.

Finally, the Mima Moon is one of the hottest looking new high chairs out there right now.  A seat pad, tray and booster are included and the Moon comes in six colors.

It retails for $500.

Andy Warhol + Bugaboo Part 3: Bugaboo Banana

Bugaboo + Andy Warhol Banana collection

The third installment of the Andy Warhol + Bugaboo partnership is inspired by his iconic banana image from The Velvet Underground and Nico album.  The Banana Collection is available for all Bugaboo strollers.  The star of the collection is the bright yellow Andy Warhol + Bugaboo Cameleon³ Banana.  It’s an all over print on the canopy, bassinet and seat back fabric with a black chassis.  There are foot muffs and seat liners to customize existing Bugaboos.

The Banana Collection will be available beginning May 1st, 2014.

Coming Soon: What New from Nuna at ABC Kids Expo 2013

Last year at ABC Kids Expo we introduced Nuna in their US debut.  Since then, the US has fallen in love with the Leaf Lounger, Sena Travel Cribs and Zaaz High Chair.  This year brings new colors, accessories and their full line of strollers.

My babies loved the toy bar on their baby seats so I’m excited that Nuna now has a toy bar for their Nuna Leaf Baby Lounger.

The Leaf will also be available in a new purple color with the blue hopefully following later in the year.  Since I’m talking about colors, I want to note that the Nuna Sena Travel Crib will be coming out in red as well.

FYI, the only thing more beautiful than a Nuna Leaf is the Nuna Leaf Curv (exclusively at our affiliate giggle).  That base is even more gorgeous than the original.

The Pepp Lightweight Stroller is Nuna’s entry-level stroller.  It’s already been out for a little while, but I love the color combinations you can create with the seat liner accessories ($60).

The mid-size stroller in the Nuna line is the Mixx.  This 24 lb stroller will retail for about $600.

And finally, the top of the Nuna stroller line is the IVVI luxx.

The bassinet portion of the IVVI has a handy stand to use as a stationary stand.  Some people really appreciate this type of versatility when they’re investing in a luxury stroller.

The IVVI luxx should retail for about $900 but don’t expect it until the spring.

Stroller Organizers

Having gone through our baby years in the days before Bugaboo even came out with their cup holder (I seriously was waiting for that!!), stroller organizers are a foreign idea to me.  I know there have been stroller organizers and hooks and bags and pouches available all along, but it all just seemed to add to the clutter of crap that many parents seem to carry around with them.  I travelled with my stroller and the smallest diaper bag that made sense, and this minimal, low key approach worked for me 99% of the time– which is good enough in my book.

A new crop of stroller organizers has come out recently and while these could be additional clutter culprits, in the hands of clever modern parents, they might help you haul around less junk than you otherwise might.  In the interest of simplifying stroller outings, if you can use a stroller organizer and the basket of your stroller to store all the items you need INSTEAD of carrying around a diaper bag, I’m all for it!  If this sounds appealing, here are a few stroller organizers for you to consider.

First, the Bugaboo Organizer is the perfect stroller companion to go with your Bugaboo.  As a Bugaboo mom, I can see myself having used and loved having one of these. $30

I spied Skip Hop’s Grab & Go Stroller Organizer at ABC Kids last year and was impressed.  It is sleek and simple and just the right size to have a few necessities at your fingertips. $20

Finally, while cutesy characters are not my typical modus operandi, these new stroller organizers from 3 Sprouts might be the perfect accessory to jazz up your stroller situation. $25

The rhino is pictured but there’s also a pink and tan elephant as well as a teal raccoon.
