A great modern crib, a great price, two color choices, converts to a toddler and full bed AND they’ll give a crib to a family in need. Do you need any more reasons to buy?
I love this White / Washed Natural combination. $400
The matching Dresser with Changer Top is $430. Gotta love this collaboration between The Honest Company and Babyletto!

Spot on Square‘s popular Roh crib is now available in white with acrylic. Previously it was a two tone piece with walnut and acrylic on the front, walnut or walnut and acrylic on the back and white on the sides. Now you can choose a simpler, cleaner look with just white and acrylic. Shall we call it the fish tank of cribs? Seriously, it’s gorgeous though. ($1700-$2100 and expected to ship October 2014)
I MAY be using this crib in our next nursery board. Follow along on Pinterest as that inspiration develops.
Nursery Works is stepping up their game and reclaiming their position at the high end of the nursery furniture world. Actually, they’re going beyond. These new cribs are above the high end and are going for cutting-edge and ultra-chic.
The first brand new crib in their collection is the Contour Crib.
The unique oval form of the Contour Crib is created by machined Baltic Birch plywood and I’m pretty sure the crib was designed to fit in that photo. Wow.
By removing the front and back panels, the crib converts to a bassinet as well. The Contour Crib retails for $7500 + $150 shipping, but if you can afford a view like the one in the photo, the price of the crib isn’t something you’d even give a second thought to.
Next from Nursery Works is the Halo Crib.
The floating black walnut base is held up with a gold square base (24k gold plated aluminum). Gasp! Removing the front panel of the crib transforms it into a toddler bed. This model retails for $6900 + $150 shipping.
The last new crib is the Highlight Crib.
An updated version of the District Crib, the Highlight Crib is 100% white oak. The “highlight” part comes from the Fluoro Yellow powder-coated aluminum mattress support. By removing one panel and flipping the crib over, it coverts to an adult-sized desk.
The Highlight Crib retails for $3900 + $150 shipping.
All the new cribs are available for pre-order and should be shipping 8/20/2014.
I also just want to share the gorgeous new photography for the Vetro Crib as well. It’s kinda hard to see a clear crib, but I think the beauty of that is really captured here.
The clear crib is not currently available online, but you can find it at Nursery Works retailers or order the shadow version. All Vetro colors retail for $4500 + $150 shipping.
4 great new cribs join the nursery furniture collection at The Land of Nod this fall.
So, have you found the perfect crib yet?

From design genius Roberto Gil, the Luna Collection from Casa Kids features a crib that converts into a bunk bed.
Starting with the Luna Crib ($800), with a few additional parts, the crib transforms into a toddler bed, twin bed, and even into a bunk bed! This is the ultimate piece of convertible furniture that will grow with your family.
The collection also has a matching dresser.
I’m so glad to have Casa Kids back in the crib business– even just as an excuse for me to send you to their website so you can browse all the amazing designs that don’t always apply specifically to nursery design.

They call it retro, but it’s really a unique new modern crib with a fresh style for 2014. These are the kind of curves I like on a crib. No sleighs, no arches, just a slightly rounded shape that softens the modern style just a smidgen.

The co-sleepers currently on the market are not the most beautiful bedroom accessories. I KNOW (based on my blog stats) that you all are looking for a better options. Unfortunately, there are some serious safety issues to consider when it comes to baby sleep arrangements (remember drop-side cribs?) so manufacturers tread very carefully when considering and developing products that support co-sleeping arrangements.
If you search the web, you can find numerous creative individuals have designed lovely co-sleepers for use by their own families, but for those of us who don’t have a wood shop or don’t even have the first clue how to approach a project like that, there are a couple etsy sellers who are sharing their skills and creations. Would one of these fit your bedroom decor?
From Old New House, the Little Mod Co-Sleeper Wooden Baby Bed ($550)
From Rosette Custom Furniture, the Cherry Sidecar Co-Sleeper Baby Bed Attachment ($319)
The big question is, would you be comfortable using one of these handmade creations?

Usually the ultra modern European kid spaces aren’t anything more than eye candy, but sometimes you can find a retailer out there ready to bring these to those of you who must have something really different.
BM Plural and Singular is a Spanish company that designs and creates practical space-saving collections with that distinctly European modern style. These collections are all about customizing your color combinations and being really bold with your child’s space. The collections aren’t for everyone, but I could see these for parents who live in Miami high rises for example.

I love the opportunity to create a one-stop-shopping experience. If you can place an order for your entire nursery from one shop in one online shopping cart, what could be easier or more convenient?! My Urban Child has an immense selection of modern nursery furniture and accessories, so when they challenged me to do this nursery board featuring Ubabub’s Nifty collection, I had a lot of great options to round out the design. Only three accessory pieces in this space are from other sources and you could always put those on your baby registry.

One of my favorite visits at the ABC Kids Expo 2013 was the TULIP Juvenile / Natart Juvenile display. With an entirely new, super-modern collection, I had a blast just listening in on the sales director’s product demonstrations. I took a seat in one of their incredibly comfortable (and ultra functional) new gliders and just enjoyed the show.
Tulip debuted the Soren Collection, which features angled legs with Mid Century inspiration. The round crib shown here converts to a desk.
The Soren Quattro is a crib and dresser combo which later converts to a twin bed and dresser.
The Soren Bunk is fully upholstered and includes four ladders so it can be placed anywhere in a room.
The Soren collection includes a total of 13 pieces so there’s lots to choose from.
The Natart Line features two new glider/recliners that are really unique. The Parker has the square back…
… and the Hannah is a round backed style. Both styles are available in Taupe or Gray microfiber or white or charcoal bonded leather.
What is really interesting about the gliders is that their arms can be raised individually, which can make nursing or just holding baby more upright more comfortable and relaxing. They also have a removable headrest that can better accommodate taller parents or can be used over the armrest for extra padding. These are some really neat new seats to consider.
You should be seeing these products at your favorite local baby stores very soon. They were a bit hit among retailers.
