Just in case you aren’t as crafty as Maygan, (see post below!) I have found some fun owl mobiles that will finish off your owl or woodland themed nursery.
The first one that springs to mind is the Owl Family Bamboo Mobile from petitcollage for $68.
I am also a big fan of KLTworks and the Flights of Fancy Mobile ($180) has the cutest plum colored owl.
This colorful paper Owl Mobile is designed to be viewed from below. You can find it for $52 at khamm75’s etsy shop.
The winking owls in Friendly Owls and Birds from giftsdefine’s shop are adorable and the clouds are even sweeter! This mobile is $98.
Finally, how cute is this knitted owl mobile? Who says you can’t do owls and pink together?
$110 from birdynum’s shop.
I also featured Life’s A Hoot Owl and Tree Felt Mobile from PinkPerch’s etsy shop earlier this year.
I love it when I find great examples of the products featured on buymodernbaby used in real nurseries. I was so excited when I saw the room Maygan designed for her little boy. She explains her design process saying, “For our son’s nursery I wanted to create a fun, creative space that was warm and modern. I stumbled upon the wonderful bedding, fell in love, and the rest of the nursery took shape.”
The bedding is Silly Owl from Litto Kids and you can see how this is the basis for the rest of the design choices. The dresser and crib are from DwellStudio for Target’s Silver Lake Collection.
This is my favorite view of the room. I love the wall decal growth chart from Willow Creek Signs’s etsy shop. I have featured wall decal growth charts before and this one is perfect in this room! I also adore the little owls up on the display shelves (which are from Target).
The opposite side of the room features Maygan’s baby clothes framed in shadow boxes as well as a painting done by her sister to highlight the design in the crib bedding. Personal touches like this make the room part of your home and part of your family and history.
Here I have to mention the beautiful maternity photos. Maygan made the frames for those photos herself and they make a dramatic statement.
I like to use the crib blanket over the rocker as well and the little owl blanket looks like the perfect lovey!
Finally, the mobile tops off the owl and the color theme perfectly. Maygan made this herself! One of the owls on the shelf above the wall decals is a larger stuffed version of the mobile owls– also handmade by Maygan.
You can see more of Maygan’s creative work (she’s a graphic designer) at MontzDesign.com. Thanks so much Maygan for letting us “visit” this inspiring nursery!

I am still obsessed with finding the perfect mobile for every nursery. I never did find the perfect one for our room and it’s too late now, but keep visiting the blog to find just the right one for your baby.
If you happen to be a dinosaur fan, this is the modern mobile for you. From BuggaLove’s etsy shop, this Mega sized mobile sells for $63.
Jessica at BuggaLove has a number of other great designs including moon & stars, dragonflies, butterflies, airplanes, letters, birds and safari animals.
The perfect mobile can be just the finishing touch to top off the perfect nursery for your little one. At her etsy shop, eleni creative, Helen has an awesome selection of seven mobiles including: owls, flying elephants, flying sheep, rocket ships and the ones shown below. Each mobile is custom made to order and she will work with you to design just what you’re looking for. Each mobile is $95.
Owls might be one of the latest nursery fads so I’m trying to stay clear of them, except I love them so! This mobile is a must-have if you are jumping in on the trend but PinkPerch has a few other great designs for you to pick from.
