DwellStudio New Baby and Kids

I got a little peek at these at the ABC Kids Expo, but the new baby and kids collections from DwellStudio are now available.

First for the nursery, there’s the beautifully feminine Posey collection.

I have to mention that there is also a new crib and dresser. They’re more Hollywood Regency and less modern in style, but you can check them out of you’re interested… Vanderbilt Crib and Dresser.

The kids collections are also worth mentioning.

Coming Soon: What’s New from Monte at ABC Kids Expo 2014

In the drool-worthy category at the ABC Kids Expo 2014 is the Rockwell Bassinet featuring a walnut base and sleek chrome frame.

A variation on the Ninna Nanna Bassinet, the Rockwell Bassinet is an even more spectacularly modern design.

In the glider section, two limited edition gliders make up the Wool and Walnut collection.  Here’s a sleek Vola Glider in the wool and walnut combination.

Finally, I’m excited they’re adding a new color to their Cubino selection.  It’s been a while so I was happy to see this new yellow version.  Cute, right?! (photo via montedesign on instagram)

Executive Pets Chairs from The Land of Nod

While most of the time, simpler is better, The Land of Nod has really hit the right note with these fun kids chairs.  Designed by Michelle Romo, the Executive Pet Nod Chairs are some of the cutest cartoony little things.  Furniture like this don’t usually get the BMB seal of approval, but here they are in all their adorable perfection, ready for your little ones to fall in love with their special reading spot.

New From The Land of Nod

January is always full of exciting new product releases from so many of my favorite companies, but I always look forward to seeing (and shopping) the new offerings from The Land of Nod.  There’s LOTS of cool new stuff, but here are some of my favorites…

The Ellipse furniture collection includes a mid-century inspired bed, nightstand and dresser.  It’s a great option for big kids.

Finally, the perfect book storage with easy access for the littlest readers, the Open Book Bin comes in Grey, Walnut and Espresso.

A new take on the faux taxidermy trend, the giraffe, zebra and elephant heads are funkier than most.

These colorful pendant shades will add a serious pop of color wherever you use them.  The pendants and cords are sold separately so you can mix and match those.

The cure for boring storage bins, the Landscape Floor Bins are as colorful as anything you’ll store inside them.

There are several new crib bedding options and you should always browse The Land of Nod when you’re looking for crib bedding.  Check out Field Guide, Beaucoup de Fraises and Elephants in the Room in particular.

Is there anything that caught your eye that I missed?

ABCs and 123s from Tambino: Fun Furnishings for the Little Ones

I’m delinquent blogging about Tambino, but a couple of their newest products ensured that I could no longer keep this brand to myself.

As soon as I spotted their amazing new Typographic Easel, I had to let you take a look.  The easel is shown here with the Typographic “H” Chair and the Typographic “K” chair.  Oh, the letter A as an easel.  How perfect.

Then there’s this brand new little beauty.  The Pickup (Your Toys) Truck is part toy chest and part kid’s desk.  Fun and function all in one.  Make room in your playrooms.  I adore it!

These number tables are unlike any others.  They’re the ones I’ve been long overdue showing you.  Pick an oversized 2, 3, 5 or 6 table.  There’s also an 8 Activity Table (not shown).  They all have numbers for legs as well.  How cool would it be if your preschool used tables like these?!

You can also enjoy the numbers in a smaller stepstool form.  The 2 and 4 Stepstools are available in a variety of colors.

Tambino has also been getting some attention for their use of the number 5 as a Toddler Table Stand!

At this point, can you imagine how excited Count Von Count is getting?

And if you want to go really batty with Tambino, check out their modular cushion sets like this starfish.

I’ve shown you MUCH of what Tambino offers, but to see it all, I invite you to visit their site and take a look at the rest. If you’re ready to buy, feel free to use my affiliate link and visit their Amazon Shop.

They Posted These, So I Don’t Have To

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.  Lots of great stuff!

First, I’m sure you’ve seen this nursery.  Love it.  Have loved it for years.  Well, guess what?  The little girl who lived here, grew up, got a big girl bed and a baby brother

… and little brother has moved in and had the place redecorated.  Take a peek at the tranformation of Paige’s nursery into Noah’s Nautical Nest on hellobee.

You KNOW I’ve been waiting for Modern Playhouse to come up with an outdoor design.  Well, Gabrielle Blair got the heads up on this one and posted Modern Playhouse’s new Dacha Playhouse (coming February 15th!) on Babble’s Family Style.  It’s made of 100% post consumer recycled plastic too!  We so need one of these.

Mari of Small for Big says, “You need a little neon in your life,” and I believe her.  I love the neon creations she shares from Sketch.Inc.

When I first saw pictures of the fold-flat Flux Chair, I started seriously considering these as extra dining seating in the house.  I’d still love to have about a half a dozen of them, but now I’ll have to add a few Flux Junior Chairs to the wish list as well.  Thanks to Bambino Goodies for the information.

Finally, Kid Crave put together a super fun and really useful Essential Guide to Raising A Hipster.  Perfect!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Don’t forget to enter our Wallfry nursery art print giveaway as we’ll be picking the winner on Monday!

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams… for Kids?!

Some companies make beautiful furniture for kids.  Some make their beautiful furniture smaller for kids.  Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams (one of my favorites for grown-up furniture) have a collection of mini chairs sized just for kids.  This is for when you really want the kids’ furniture to blend in with the decor.

Clockwise from the left we have the Luc Kids Chair ($595), Lil’ Alexa Kids Chair ($575), and Mini Sadie ($445).  The chairs in the photo can be ordered online as shown.  You can also special order the chairs to your own specifications or in leather through a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams retailer.
