The finalists have been selected for this year’s Cribsie Awards and voting began this week. From now until March 16th, you can enter your votes for the best products and websites for babies, tots and their parents. There are a few categories that fall under my areas of expertise, so over the next few weeks, I’ll be introducing you to (or reminding you of) the finalists in my favorite categories. To be part of the informed electorate, get to know the candidates before you place your Cribsies votes.
First, in the Nursery category, we have the “Chicest Pillows For Modern Nurseries.” I have previously blogged about all of these pillows or used them in nursery boards over the years so I’m a fan of them all. Here are the five finalists:
Ferm Living is based in Denmark and has a gorgeous line of home decor and accessories for both adults and kids. Note that even their grown-up pillows are fun enough to be used in kid spaces, but take a look at their chic kids pillows.
Oilo was a finalist in the 2011 Cribsies in the “Statement Crib Bedding Worth the Splurge” category and it’s no surprise that their coordinating pillows made it to the finals this year. A favorite of celebrities (Christina Applegate and Rachel Zoe), Oilo’s chic, modern designs are perfect in clean, simple, and serene nursery designs.
Jonathan Adler designs are the opposite of simple and serene. A little mod, a little retro, a little irreverent and totally funky, Jonathan Adler’s designs are completely chic. His Johnathan Adler Junior collection is designed specifically for kids, but lots of the regular pillows are fun and colorful for nurseries as well.
Serena and Lily’s designs are a little more on the sweet and serene side. The baby pillow sets include a set of Zodiac designs and Letter Pillows in two designs with several color options. They are very cute and personal gift and decor ideas.
The last finalist in the category is Thomas Paul. His home decor designs are super stylish and always on my own wishlist. The Thomas Paul Baby collection includes a Matryoska design and a Bunny pillow, but I think you can’t overlook my favorites, the Antique Toys/Stuffed Dolls.
So, we’ve established that all the finalists are uber-chic, but which one will you be voting for? Are there any pillows that you think should be on the list but aren’t? Do you have photos of these pillows in your nursery?
