Stokke Home is a modular nursery furniture range that can be arranged to suit your needs from birth to age 5.
This stunning nursery collection most prominently features the incredible Home Crib ($700).
If you’re not quite ready to start with the Home Crib, the Home Cradle ($360) is a small lightweight bassinet that can be used separately or can hang within the crib. When baby grows out of the cradle, the frame can be used with the changer top or even converted into a small desk.
I think Stokke has a huge hit with the Stokke Home line. The simple, clean design is relatively affordable, the range can be customized to suit your needs and it’s super fun. How can your nursery not be picture perfect with a collection like this?
There aren’t many nursery furniture options right now that do this kind of conversion (I can only think of two others), so Oeuf’s Fawn is a welcome addition!
The two color combinations are White with Birch and Grey with Birch. The system comes with a bassinet mattress so you’re ready to use it from day one. Crib mattresses are sold separately and you can also purchase a toddler bed conversion.

There are a few eye-popping new offerings from The Land of Nod. We’ve been waiting for this Spring 2015 collection since we saw previews of it on Instagram, and I’m just as excited about it now that I’m seeing all the pieces individually.
First and most notable is the Springwood collection. Designed by Maria Yee, each piece in the collection is handmade from bamboo and coated with a water-based finish.
The Springwood Rocking Chair is a unique, sculptural piece that adds a lot of style without taking up too much floor space.
The Springwood Crib anchors the collection, but I’m not sure why the back has to be higher than the front. I’m not usually a fan and don’t see the point unless it’s a crib that converts into a full bed, which this does not seem to do. $1500
Of course there’s a matching dresser ($1200) and changing top ($200). While the legs are beautiful, if you’re looking for a lot of storage, you might want to find another option.
Finally, there’s the gorgeous Springwood Bassinet. $550
The Land of Nod has really gone all out with bassinets this year and one might have to move from your “optional” list to your list of must-haves for baby!
In addition to the Springwood Bassinet, there’s the simple teak Olin Bassinet ($450)…
… and most spectacularly, the Norse Bassinet. This Scandinavian-inspired design is one of my favorite new baby furniture pieces in a long time. Other baby furniture brands are really going to have to start stepping it up in the design department!
There are a couple new small storage pieces that are worth mentioning. The Alto Bookcase comes in three colors with three base options that can be mixed and matched to create the perfect combo. I’m thinking we may need one in Walnut and White at our house. $250
I also like the little Next Chapter Bookcase. You can never have too many books nor too much storage. $250
Finally, the Neon Chalkboard Table is a fun pop of color for any child’s bedroom or playroom. It’s available with a hot pin or neon green base. $300
What new pieces are going on your wishlist?

I’m a believer that when it comes to furniture, you really can’t go wrong with the quality and service from Room & Board. So you know I get excited when they debut a new nursery collection. For 2015, Room & Board has the new Flynn Crib and Flynn Dressers as well as the Colton Swivel Glider.
The Flynn Crib comes stocked in Walnut or Ocean (shown above). You can also special order one of 10 different base colors. The crib retails for $800 except the Walnut base version which is $900.
The Flynn Dresser comes in a 6 drawer ($1200) and 4 drawer ($800) version with the same color options as the crib.
The Colton Swivel Glider is available in boucle and velvet fabrics and retails for $800 to $900 depending on the fabrics. A matching ottoman is available for $400 to $450.
You really can’t go wrong with one of each, and your nursery can be totally unique with your color choices.
The foundation of the modern nursery is the crib, but the price of the crib does not determine the fabulousness of the nursery. You can spend less on the crib and have more in the budget to spend on the fun stuff. Even a simple, inexpensive crib can be the crib over your dreams once you add your favorite bedding, the perfect plushie and your lovely little one.
Here are 10 cribs you can order right now for LESS than $400…

There’s no denying that more traditional nursery furniture companies now have at least a modern style or two in their line, so I’m always sure to wander into the booths of brands that I wouldn’t typically visit at ABC Kids Expo. Here what I found.
First, Bivona is manufacturing nice modern cribs under a couple brand names. Most notably, we have their cribs for Fisher-Price!
The Soho Island Crib is a simple two-tone crib that retails for approximately $300.
They also have the Fisher-Price Riley Island Crib which retails for just about $250.
From Bivona’s Ti Amo brand, the Moderna Crib is a really nice style. It comes in the colors shown or all whie.
Delta Children has a few great modern collections and is working on more. This Manhattan 3-in-1 Crib is a great gray option. It’s reminicient of the Oeuf’s Sparrow crib but the legs are quite different and it retails for $250.
Delta’s Urban 4-in-1 Crib ‘n’ Changer is a simple and space saving model for about $225.
Their Hazel collection is the newest and my favorite. No price info on this one yet.
I also really like the toy box they had along side the display.
Kolcraft showed this Scanda collection which is by far the best looking thing I’ve ever seen from Kolcraft. In fact, we’ve never had the opportunity to mention them here on the blog ever before!
Finally, from Romina Furniture, which is usually a little frilly for our taste, this new New York collection is really exciting. I like the thin legs and the way you can customize the color and texture of the side panels. This is a crib that has lots of potential.
Hope I didn’t miss anything!

First we have Nursery Works. With four crib designs in its collection, this display was a show stopper. I introduced you to their new cribs a few weeks ago, but it was wonderful to see them in person.
First is the Highlight Crib with the neon yellow metal base.
Next is the Halo Crib with the 24 karat gold square base.
The Contour Crib is really spectacular and the design converts beautifully from bassinet to crib. I wish they had shown it in bassinet form as well, but they did have the mattress to illustrate the size and the pieces that come with the crib.
The Empire Rockers are shown here in some new and limited edition fabrics.
There are also some fun limited edition fabrics for the Sleepytime Rocker. I’d personally vote for some colorful solids, but you can always order custom upholstery.
I like the way the new Bingo Collection incorporates color as well as storage.
There will be three new bedding patterns added to Babyletto’s line up. I particularly like the tulips and the aztec style design.
We got a preview of this rocking chair last year, but this year it’s being shown with a new storage piece with a neon accent.
And the Lemonade Playset isn’t new, but how cute does it look with all the colors?
Finally, from the DaVinci brand, the Jenny Lind Crib is coming out it Lagoon.
Such a great color.
A great modern crib, a great price, two color choices, converts to a toddler and full bed AND they’ll give a crib to a family in need. Do you need any more reasons to buy?
I love this White / Washed Natural combination. $400
The matching Dresser with Changer Top is $430. Gotta love this collaboration between The Honest Company and Babyletto!

Spot on Square‘s popular Roh crib is now available in white with acrylic. Previously it was a two tone piece with walnut and acrylic on the front, walnut or walnut and acrylic on the back and white on the sides. Now you can choose a simpler, cleaner look with just white and acrylic. Shall we call it the fish tank of cribs? Seriously, it’s gorgeous though. ($1700-$2100 and expected to ship October 2014)
I MAY be using this crib in our next nursery board. Follow along on Pinterest as that inspiration develops.
Nursery Works is stepping up their game and reclaiming their position at the high end of the nursery furniture world. Actually, they’re going beyond. These new cribs are above the high end and are going for cutting-edge and ultra-chic.
The first brand new crib in their collection is the Contour Crib.
The unique oval form of the Contour Crib is created by machined Baltic Birch plywood and I’m pretty sure the crib was designed to fit in that photo. Wow.
By removing the front and back panels, the crib converts to a bassinet as well. The Contour Crib retails for $7500 + $150 shipping, but if you can afford a view like the one in the photo, the price of the crib isn’t something you’d even give a second thought to.
Next from Nursery Works is the Halo Crib.
The floating black walnut base is held up with a gold square base (24k gold plated aluminum). Gasp! Removing the front panel of the crib transforms it into a toddler bed. This model retails for $6900 + $150 shipping.
The last new crib is the Highlight Crib.
An updated version of the District Crib, the Highlight Crib is 100% white oak. The “highlight” part comes from the Fluoro Yellow powder-coated aluminum mattress support. By removing one panel and flipping the crib over, it coverts to an adult-sized desk.
The Highlight Crib retails for $3900 + $150 shipping.
All the new cribs are available for pre-order and should be shipping 8/20/2014.
I also just want to share the gorgeous new photography for the Vetro Crib as well. It’s kinda hard to see a clear crib, but I think the beauty of that is really captured here.
The clear crib is not currently available online, but you can find it at Nursery Works retailers or order the shadow version. All Vetro colors retail for $4500 + $150 shipping.
