Ubabub Mod Collection

The newest collection from ubabub is the Mod Collection.

“Make a statement with the mid-century inspired Mod Collection. Sleek, modern and durable, the collection features the Mod 2-in-1 Convertible Metal Crib crafted from welded tube construction and the Mod 4-Drawer Dresser with great storage capacity nestled within a stylish geometric bent steel frame.”

I had this ready to share back in 2019 but we went on hiatus, and since then the family behind ubabub has added a member to their own family! Congrats guys!

Crib and dresser are $1400 each. You can see the crib in use in the “Modern and Sweet Baby Girl Room” on laybabylay! Consider it must-see nursery inspiration if you haven’t seen it already.

Beautiful Bixby Crib from Babyletto

Babyletto is my first choice for affordable modern cribs and this Bixby convertible metal crib is one of the most exciting current designs. For just $400, you get this clean lined, mid-century inspired crib that includes a toddler bed conversion kit. Choose beech or walnut base colors.

Pehr even used the Bixby crib for some of its product images and the space looks spectacular.

Pottery Barn Modern Baby

Do I call it official now? Has “modern baby” taken over the baby space so much that it’s just about the default? Pottery Barn has a new brand in the family, and Pottery Barn Modern | Baby is going to make shopping for your modern nursery even easier than ever.

Now their furniture collection includes familiar silhouettes like Babyletto’s Lolly Crib, but also adds many exciting new shapes and styles.

The signature look of the brand is the glam Art Deco collection with the High Gloss Black Art Deco Crib and the matching dresser. The Deco Glider & Ottoman round out the look. Well, actually, the black metal framed mirror “rounds” out the collection- ha!, and you can finish off the space with the Coco Rug and art prints (1 and 1b) by Jaime Derringer from Minted.

The Art Deco collection also comes in white, for a completely different feel. Here the crib is paired with the Lola Swivel Glider & Ottoman. Finish off this space with a Faye Rug and oversized floral wallpaper from Anewall.

For a more natural, neutral nursery, select the Nash Crib and Dresser. Leather drawer pulls add extra texture and detail to the dresser.

Their “Hip Modern Nursery” features the Tatum Crib in two tone black and white. It’s really cleverly paired with the Zebra Shaped Woven Storage basket!

The Acorn finish on this Sloan Crib hearkens over to the mid-century flavor of the West Elm x Pottery Barn Kids collections but is unique with acrylic slats.

The Sloan Crib also comes in white for a totally different, minimal look.

The Aiden Crib is another exciting new option with it’s solid form and chrome trim!

The Sloan Bookcase and Sloan Toy Chest are just two playroom pieces that are part of the storage collection, and the Pottery Barn Modern | Baby also includes tons of decor items to not just furnish, but finish the entire nursery.

I never used a lot of Pottery Barn in my modern nursery design here on the blog over the years, but I know that will all be changing now. Woah.

Reverie Acrylic Crib from Spot on Square

Spot on Square’s Roh Crib has been a popular acrylic model for a while now, but the new Reverie Crib (now available for pre-order) brings the price way down and features acrylic on all four sides!

The new design has 3 adjustable positions and can convert to a daybed. Retails for $999.

This modern beauty is expected to ship September 2018 to all the lucky fall nurseries.

West Elm x Pottery Barn Kids

Not to be left behind after Crate & Barrel brought The Land of Nod back home, West Elm partnered with their sister brand, Pottery Barn Kids, for a new kids collection with their modern, mid-century aesthetic.

The collection includes three nursery furniture sets that correspond and coordinate with other West Elm furniture. This makes it my top choice if you’re looking to put together a shared bedroom– either a nursery in the master bedroom or a guestroom nursery, or even shared rooms with baby and older siblings.

The Mid-Century line includes a Convertible Crib, 3-Drawer Changing Table, 6-Drawer Changing Table, a Mini Crib and a Toddler Bed Conversion Crib. The pieces are available in Acorn or White. You can also add a 38″ Bookshelf or 22″ Bookshelf for storage and display.

The pieces in the Audrey lineup are my favorites. They had me just with the legs! If you love the Audrey style, you can choose the Convertible Crib, add a Toddler Bed Conversion Kit, pick a 6-Drawer Changing Table or a 3-Drawer Changing Table and add a Wide or Narrow Storage Bookcase.

Finally, the Modern pieces round out the collection. There’s a Convertible Crib, Storage Crib, Toddler Bed Conversion Kit, 3-Drawer Dresser, 6-Drawer Dresser and a Narrow Tower Bookcase and Cabinet Bookcase.

There are two glider and ottoman sets to choose from to finish off your West Elm nursery.

The Graham Glider has been around for a long time (we first featured it in 2012!), and there’s a nice Ottoman to go with it.

The Niels Wing Glider is a curvy statement piece and the rounded Ottoman is a crucial addition. Both gliders and ottomans have many fabric options to choose from to help customize your special nursery.

You can dress up and accessorize your West Elm nursery with anything from West Elm, but they do have some specific items to dress up uniquely kids spaces.

Why add a boring table lamp when you can get this Ceramic Nature Rabbit Table Lamp?

There’s a lovely variety of modern crib sheets, crib skirts and toddler quilts as part of the bedding collection.

The colors of these knit Cotton Baby Blankets are inspirational.

Pillows and accessories include this Felted Pom-Pom Mobile for $40.

I highly recommend checking out the entire west elm x pottery barn kids collection to inspire your modern nursery.

Project Nursery Wooster Crib

My friends over at Project Nursery have been sharing nursery inspiration for many years and now that they’ve gotten into product development, the Wooster Crib is a great new partnership. Working with Karla DuBois, they’ve come out with this modern, eco-friendly crib with an approachable minimalist design. For $400 (plus $100 for the toddler rail), I think this is going to appear in many future Project Nursery posts.

The Wooster Crib comes in Two-Toned Willow and White, Pure White, Moon Gray as well as Almond.

Incy Interiors USA

Incy Interiors is an Australian company that I have followed on Instagram for a long time now. I’m constantly drooling over their designs and photos from afar, but just this year, it has become possible to shop Incy Interiors in the US!

For the nursery, Incy Interiors has three unique crib styles with many exciting color options to choose from.

This metal style is your fresh alternative to the traditional Jenny Lind style crib. Each color has a different name (Navy = Chloe, Cream = Reese, Pink = Romy, Brown = Sophia, Rose Gold = Ellie, Silver = Harry) and the cribs retail for $700.

I’m also particularly fond of the Teeny Crib, which comes in Green, Navy and Pink. This retails for $800 and is a perfect choice for any modern nursery. Pair it with a matching change table and your nursery is nearly complete.

The most amazing crib in the collection is the Georgia Crib ($1100) with a timeless look that can be the perfect showpiece in your modern nursery. The Lucy Change Table is the perfect accompaniment and there’s also a coordinating side table and bookcase.

Incy Interiors has also partnered with Hobbe Australia to bring us the Incy x Hobbe Rocker. This is a glamerous rocking chair with rose gold legs and blush or indigo fabric. This will be available at the end of the summer for $1300.

So many wonderful designs to expand your nursery choices, no?
