MLK Jr. Day Books for Kids: 2018 Edition

It’s not just a day off of school. In the United States, today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which celebrates the life and achievements of an American civil rights leader and icon. It’s a wonderful idea to have a few of these books around to remind our children and ourselves of the struggle Martin Luther King Jr. represented, the non-violent tactics he preached and the vision he had for the future of our country.

Baby Book Basics

I recently received a request for my list of must-have baby books and I had to get these online for you asap. No baby should be without these classic board books. Yes, board books. I love these. They’re generally less expensive than hardcover books, prevent paper cuts and excited little hands won’t tear the pages! I call this a win, win, win situation.

These sixteen titles are a great place to start your board book library. I can tell you we had all of these. They were in heavy rotation at various times and I know many of they by heart. You will get a lot of use out of these books!
