I love these colorful, modern, organic cotton quilts from Bunch & Rosa. They’re just as perfect for wrapping up your little one as they are hanging on the wall as art.
There are a few designs with a more tame color scheme, so check those out as well. The quilts are handcrafted in North Carolina and retail for $150 to $250.
Expanding their line once again, Skip Hop has released three new 4 piece toddler bedding sets that coordinate with their Zoo collection and three 3 piece toddler sheet sets. These expand the life of your Skip Hop nursery decor and bring your toddler’s favorite Skip Hop Zoo characters right to bed with them.
The 4 piece sets include Owl, Ladybug, and Monkey. The sets fit crib sized mattresses that are used in toddler beds and include a pillow sham, reversible comforter, fitted sheet and flat sheet. The character prints on the comforters are a little more cartoony than I like for bedding, but toddlers tend to have their own opinions about things so these cartoon characters might be a good compromise to avoid other more obnoxious options… yeah, I’m looking at YOU, Dora the Explorer.
Now, the 3 piece sheet sets are fantastic prints on their own. I especially love the banana print on the monkey set, and the red spots from the owl set are very versatile. These retail for $30 and if you’re buying a 4 piece set, you probably want to get an extra set of these for quick bed changes.
Finally, rounding out the toddler bedding options are the zoo pillows for $20.
So, is the zoo for you?
Well known and loved for their children’s clothing line, Mini Rodini launches a new home collection online and in their stores coming in October. They announced a sneak peek so we could have a look!
This collection will feature their whimsical, modern eco-friendly dyed prints on organic bed linens and upcycled cotton products.
The pufferfish print is one of my favorites that I have seen on children’s bedding. I look forward to more details next month!
Stay tuned to Mini Rodini for their launch announcement.

Nothing against Cath Kidston, I just prefer her modern vintage English style in smaller doses…

Happy Holiday Giveaway 2012 with fawn & forest: Stroller Blanket and Boudoir Pillow from DwellStudio
My boys’ birthdays are at the end of November and the beginning of December, so while I’m focused on that, the holidays ALWAYS sneak up on me. To make sure that we are all prepared in plenty of time this year, we’re going to start this year’s holiday celebrations right now!
This year we’ve teamed up with fawn & forest, a beautifully curated online shop with modern children’s furniture accessories. Together we’ve come up with a series of four gift giveaways that will take place over the next month leading into the holidays.
Our first giveaway in the Happy Holiday Giveaway 2012 is a stroller blanket and boudoir pillow set by DwellStudio. You can choose one of their two new designs, Galaxy or Meadow. The retail value of this prize is $84 and it would make a lovely gift for a child of any age.
I previewed the new collections at ABC Kids last month and these new designs are great, unique bedding options and inspiration for a spectacular modern nursery.
We’re thrilled to give you a chance to try out these brand new designs by winning a blanket and pillow set.
Thanks to fawn & forest for sponsoring the Happy Holiday Giveaway 2012. You can find many more gift ideas in their Holidays 2012 Magazine.

While it seems that the pink and blue colors are no-brainers, the patterns are modern and super sophisticated. If you’re doing pink or blue, you can do it right with these new designs. Looking closely, you can see that there are many different shades and variations to the fabrics.
With the Rose Sea pattern, you even find a feminine mix of pink AND blue.
Take a look at their catalog to see the entire Tailored collection of nursery bedding and child’s bedding. I love that all the crib bedding patterns are available in a bumper-less version with Annette Tatum’s Perfect Fit Crib Sheet.
To celebrate the launch of their Tailored collection, Little House by Annette Tatum is offering one of our lucky readers their choice of a Moses Basket featuring fabrics from the Tailored line. A Moses basket is a simple and beautiful alternative to a bassinet, made even more beautiful with this collection of fabrics. The eight choices are pictured below, but visit the Little House page to find the name of your favorite pattern. The prize is valued at $160 and the sweepstakes is open to US residents over the age of 18. It starts right now and ends November 5th, 2012 at 12:01 am EST. There are several ways to enter via Rafflecopter below.
I can’t believe that we’ve already reached October and are starting the 4th quarter of the year! Even my 6 year old just said that 2012 is going by very quickly. The final quarter of the year is very busy for me with ABC Kids Expo, Halloween, both my children’s birthdays, Thanksgiving, and the winter holidays. It’s a lot of fun, but things are going to get crazy!
To help me through this busy and exciting last quarter, I’m welcoming a new blog sponsor this month. I’m thrilled to welcome my friends at Olli & Lime to my lovely family of blog supporters. I’ve been a fan of theirs all along and it’s fulfilling when the feeling is mutual.
They have recently even added twin bedding sets for all their ranges.
I hear we may have a fourth range coming soon as well as some other really cool changes, so keep your eye out for those! I’ll share them as soon as pictures become available.
Thanks to all our advertisers for their support! If you have a product or shop that would fit on this blog, please email us about advertising opportunities- firstname.lastname@example.org.
I knew it was coming– more decorative crib sheets that are meant to be used without bumpers. There’s no doubt that bedding makers are rethinking their crib bedding sets in light of new safety recommendations, but parents are still looking for beautiful decorative fabric choices to dress up their cribs. That’s what Annette Tatum’s Perfect Fit crib bedding has been designed to do. You can still enjoy her soft beautiful designs while following the most current guidelines.
