Real Room Tour: Bright and Beautiful in the Heartland

Angela, from the beautiful blog, Handmade in the Heartland, put together this bright and cheerful nursery for her new baby, Max (who is due any day now!).

The yellow and aqua color scheme looks so fresh and crisp here.  That beautiful shade of aqua is Benjamin Moore’s Robins Nest, and the fabric for the curtains was from Ikea.  The simple, modern crib is the ever-popular ParkLane crib from Baby Mod.  The robot prints are from MODERNPOP and they look like they were just meant to be in this space.

The ubiquitous Expedit from Ikea provides ample display and storage space for Max’s goodies and the library he will accumulate as he grows.  Angela created some of the little art pieces on display and has generously provided the documents for you to print and use yourself!  They are simply charming.

Some of the other lovely details in the room include the Good Night Sleep Tight print from Roll & Tumble Press, the Rattan Elephant Hamper, a Flensted Penguin Mobile and an Offi My Pet Lamp Dachshund.

In addition to the fresh colors and bright feel of this room, I love the way it is ready to be filled with all the little things that come with kids.  The shelves have plenty of empty space so the room can stay clean and uncluttered even as Max gets new toys, books and games.

Angela, thanks so much for sharing your space.  You did an amazing job and I know you and Max will enjoy the time you spend in this lovely room.
