They Posted These, So I Don’t Have To

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.  Lots of great stuff!

First, I’m sure you’ve seen this nursery.  Love it.  Have loved it for years.  Well, guess what?  The little girl who lived here, grew up, got a big girl bed and a baby brother

… and little brother has moved in and had the place redecorated.  Take a peek at the tranformation of Paige’s nursery into Noah’s Nautical Nest on hellobee.

You KNOW I’ve been waiting for Modern Playhouse to come up with an outdoor design.  Well, Gabrielle Blair got the heads up on this one and posted Modern Playhouse’s new Dacha Playhouse (coming February 15th!) on Babble’s Family Style.  It’s made of 100% post consumer recycled plastic too!  We so need one of these.

Mari of Small for Big says, “You need a little neon in your life,” and I believe her.  I love the neon creations she shares from Sketch.Inc.

When I first saw pictures of the fold-flat Flux Chair, I started seriously considering these as extra dining seating in the house.  I’d still love to have about a half a dozen of them, but now I’ll have to add a few Flux Junior Chairs to the wish list as well.  Thanks to Bambino Goodies for the information.

Finally, Kid Crave put together a super fun and really useful Essential Guide to Raising A Hipster.  Perfect!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Don’t forget to enter our Wallfry nursery art print giveaway as we’ll be picking the winner on Monday!

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

First you’ve got to take a look at this Cozy Grey nursery on chalk + dot.  So many things that I love about it!  The only thing I’d have to change is the fan.

So we already love her Alphabet Print, but Pilgrim (on Draw! Pilgrim) has done an amazing post showing the alphabet print with an all new “gum ball” colorway in three different inspirational settings.  I especially (of course) LOVE the colorful nursery setup.

Small for Big is already looking ahead to February and has found some ADORABLE soft valentine’s toys that are easy to lurve!  Super cute picks and with plenty of time to place your orders.

I loved Maddie’s etsy roundup of star-themed items for kids’ rooms, “Sleep Under the Stars,” on Li’l Magoolie.  Click through to see all 10 of her picks!

Finally, since we love ABC posters around here, I have to direct you to the ABC posters by Yoni Alter that I discovered on Design Mom.

Have a fantastic weekend.  My parents might come for a quick visit and we’ll probably take the kids to cool off at the skating rink.

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web this past week.

I love Baby Roo’s Cozy & Colorful City Digs and the new digs at Apartment Therapy as well.  Click on over if you haven’t seen their revamped site yet.

I’ve been poking around waiting to find this but Coos & Ahhs beat me to it and posted what’s New from Ferm Living.  I’ll post more about what they’ve get when it hits their US shop, but click through if you want a preview.

I keep meaning to do a comprehensive nightlight guide but until I do, check out these adorable nightlights on baby style file!

Poufs or any soft ottomans are great pieces to have in children’s spaces.  They are extra seating, can easily be moved around and nobody is going to bump themselves on them.  Style Carrot put together this extensive collection of 25 (more) Poufs (only a few are pictured here), so you’re bound to find a look you’ll love.

And my favorite themed roundup of the week is Small for Big’s collection of Yetis in are we there yeti?!  This is a unique collection of adorable creatures and one is more cuddly than the next!

Hope you had a great week and a lucky Friday the 13th!

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

First, to piggyback on our gold roundup, lay baby lay was thinking gold this week as well in this baby boy nursery inspiration board.  This is only part of it, so visit the post to see more.

Another inspiration board I liked this week was this nursery inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany’s from Somewhere Splendid.  It was actually a post on Hellobee a couple weeks earlier so go there to find the sources.  Again, this is only part of the board, so go to the posts to see more.

ebabee Likes rounded up their favorite floor cushions for kids spaces in this nursery style post.  I may have to research this a little to get you some specific links to find these items though.  Let me know if you’re interested.

If you’re looking for a list of baby essentials, you might as well use the one from fabulous, fun and fashionable Oh Joy!

Finally, as someone who recommends the Ikea Antilop to anyone who asks, I do want to point out the high chair recall.  Daddytypes did my favorite post about the recall so read about it there.  Basically though, Antilops from 2006-2010 may have flimsy straps so you can go get a better one.

I hope everyone is enjoying 2012 so far.  It’s gonna be an interesting one!

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week or so.

Lauren of with two cats has been working on the design for her daughter Violet’s Big Girl Room.  I love the update on the room’s progress and can’t wait to see it when it’s all done.  Aren’t the colors pretty?!

If you’re still shopping for gifts, try the selection of Handmade Dolls for the Holidays on Small for Big.  So many precious choices.  A lot of love goes into making beautiful dolls like these.

I spotted this colorful calendar in a colorful year… on Oh Joy!  Wouldn’t it be a great collection of colors for the nursery of a January baby?

If you’re at all interested in a black and white nursery, or just a way to use the black and white Missoni crib set from Target, look no further than this Black and White Circus Nursery on Look at the Birdie and Smile.

Finally, Holly posted about Dottir & Sonur on decor8 this week and I love everything on their website.  The origami pattern is particularly fresh and fun.  I can’t wait until these are available in stores.  I’ll keep you posted.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.  The holiday parties are starting so it’s an exciting time of year around here.  If you have a few moments while you’re finishing your online shopping, please share your feedback about BuyModernBaby in our annual reader poll.  It should take less than 5 minutes as there are only 10 questions.  Thanks for reading and I hope to bring you more of what you love in 2012!

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

First up there were a number of nice gift guides posted this past week including this Christmas Gift Guide 2011 : Handmade and Eco-friendly Toys on Petit Eco Kids.

You should also take a look at the For Your Wee Ones: Christmas Gift Guide on With Two Cats.

And if you haven’t found the perfect gift yet, try the blossom kids gift guide.

I also liked this simple but wonderful nursery tour of Aidan’s Blue, Green & Tranquil Room on Ohdeedoh.

Finally, lots of blogs were buzzing about Eco-friendly BeginAgain Toys.  I saw them first on Inhabitots though and so if you haven’t seen them, go have a look.  These make great gifts as well!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and a relaxing or productive Black Friday.  Tonight we’re celebrating my children’s great-grandmother’s 85th birthday.  They are so lucky to have two lovely great-grandmothers who dote on them the way theirs do.

One final reminder that it’s the last weekend to enter this week’s giveaways.  We’ve got a super soft and cuddly Oeuf Snake and a Chalk Table and Bench Set from P’kolino.  These are awesome prizes and I’d love for some of my loyal readers to win!

Buy Modern Baby Around the Web

I’m sorry that my posts have been sparse over the past couple of weeks.  I’ve been so busy getting everything ready for my oldest’s 6th birthday party and finishing up some guest posts!  I wanted to at least share those posts with you this weekend and also remind you to enter our two awesome giveaways this week!  We’ve got a Surfboard Growth Chart from Westside Boards and an awesome collection of books and gifts from Chronicle Books!

If you think it’s been too long since I’ve done a nursery inspiration board, you have to go see what I put together on Coos & Ahhs.  I love this Winter-y Wonderland inspired collection!

I also did a Gift Guide for the Modern Kid on Chalk + Dot.  It’s the only gift guide I’m putting together this season, so if you’re interested in my gift picks for modern babies and kids, you’ll have to check them out over there!

Hope you’re having a great weekend!  And if anyone is interested in posting pictures from tomorrow’s Angry Birds birthday party, just let me know 😉

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

You’ve got to take a look at this Modern Nursery on Spearmint Baby.  The tour of this bold nursery, photographed by Kristin Eldridge Photography, is worth a visit.

And if you’re into pink, be sure to visit the Bold, Pink Modern Nursery on On To Baby.

I love the new High+ Low feature on Sissy + Marley’s blog.  They kicked it off beautifully with this Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees post.  People still can’t get enough of gray nurseries!

The Shanna Murray Window Films + Wall Decals on decor8 would work just as well in a chic nursery as in any space in your home.  I keep looking around here to find somewhere to put one!

Finally, I love Small for Big’s roundup of the 10 Best Fox Toys!  So much foxy cuteness.

Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to enter our Olli & Lime Giveaway ($100 gift certificate to pick what you love) and the Green Toys Giveaway (a Flatbed Truck with Race Car and the new School Bus)!
