The collection starts shipping June 1st. Pre-order by May 15th and save 20% with the promo code ‘wilderness’.
The third installment of the Andy Warhol + Bugaboo partnership is inspired by his iconic banana image from The Velvet Underground and Nico album. The Banana Collection is available for all Bugaboo strollers. The star of the collection is the bright yellow Andy Warhol + Bugaboo Cameleon³ Banana. It’s an all over print on the canopy, bassinet and seat back fabric with a black chassis. There are foot muffs and seat liners to customize existing Bugaboos.
The Banana Collection will be available beginning May 1st, 2014.
Coming this fall from Automoblox, these larger size work trucks are bound to be the centerpieces of your Automoblox collection. They are sized so that Original Automoblox can fit on the bed of the Flatbed Hauler. The pieces for these three trucks will be interchangeable with each other but not with the originals. Right now the largest Original Automoblox retail for about $50, so I’m a little anxious about the price for these large trucks (since I want them!).
Did anyone get to see these at the Toy Fair?
Green Toys will be releasing a brilliant new bunch of products to their already wonderful eco-friendly line of toys.
Animals on Wheels, Stove Top (which also will come in pink), Seacopter and Helicopter and the Train will ship in the spring. I particularly love the stove top. It’s a great compact version of a play kitchen.
Ferm Living has added a handful of new pieces to its kids line for Spring/Summer 2014. There are new accessories to go with their fall additions as well as a few new bedding pieces.
There are 4 cute animal wall hooks, two character pillows, one blanket, a quilt with three different color options and three pillows to go with the quilts.
These will be in the US web shop soon.
Stokke Steps is the first (at least that I know of!) bouncer and high chair combination.
I love this as you need the high chair just at the time when your child is getting too big for their bouncer, and like everything else Stokke, its Scandinavian design looks beautiful in the modern home.
Stokke’s Tripp Trapp high chair is a design classic, and this multifunctional marvel is the first product worthy of swaying your attention away from the original.
You can see more photos on Stokke’s Steps board on Pinterest.
Stokke Steps should be available in the US in March. Suggested retail for the Bouncer is $199 and the High Chair Solution which grows with the child from 6 months is $450. While it seems efficient gear-wise, buying a Tripp Trapp (about $370 even with tray and baby set as accessories) and a bouncer separately looks like the more affordable way to go. What do you think?
I’m so excited about the new Miller range from Olli & Lime. Now available for pre-order, this modern crib bedding collection is a fresh new option for your nursery. Yellow and gray have been a trend over the past couple years, but this stone shade and rich, golden yellow are a warm version of the popular color combination.
Coordinating products and accessories will be added soon. I can’t wait to see the nurseries that are inspired by the Miller range.
One of my favorite visits at the ABC Kids Expo 2013 was the TULIP Juvenile / Natart Juvenile display. With an entirely new, super-modern collection, I had a blast just listening in on the sales director’s product demonstrations. I took a seat in one of their incredibly comfortable (and ultra functional) new gliders and just enjoyed the show.
Tulip debuted the Soren Collection, which features angled legs with Mid Century inspiration. The round crib shown here converts to a desk.
The Soren Quattro is a crib and dresser combo which later converts to a twin bed and dresser.
The Soren Bunk is fully upholstered and includes four ladders so it can be placed anywhere in a room.
The Soren collection includes a total of 13 pieces so there’s lots to choose from.
The Natart Line features two new glider/recliners that are really unique. The Parker has the square back…
… and the Hannah is a round backed style. Both styles are available in Taupe or Gray microfiber or white or charcoal bonded leather.
What is really interesting about the gliders is that their arms can be raised individually, which can make nursing or just holding baby more upright more comfortable and relaxing. They also have a removable headrest that can better accommodate taller parents or can be used over the armrest for extra padding. These are some really neat new seats to consider.
You should be seeing these products at your favorite local baby stores very soon. They were a bit hit among retailers.
We introduced them earlier this year, but Re-Play has a few new items in their collection of recycled children’s tableware. A photo of their colorful booth was one of my most liked photos from the Expo on Instagram, so Re-Play is definitely a brand you should take a look at.
I was introduced to the extremely clever line of products from b.box and you should particularly take a look at these travel bibs! The dirty side of the bib and the flexible soft spoon zip right up into the bib when you’re done. With the brilliant design and cute patterns, you’re going to want a couple of these in your diaper bags at all times.
Silikids is significantly expanding it’s product line. Where they used to only have their special silicone covers for drinking glasses, now they have a much more complete feeding system that includes a snack bag, bib, bowl, sippy cup, sippy cup top, spoon, and my very favorite– the silimap placemat.
The new Silikids products will be available in December.
OXO debuted the Seedling High Chair. This new high chair will be coming out in December and should retail for about $150 ($100 less than their Sprout High Chair). While the Seedling is a really nice looking high chair, I’m not sure there’s anything that special about this seat other than its lower price.
I think their new bib is a good addition to their feeding collection though. This is another bib that folds up to trap the mess.
So are you looking forward to any of these new products?

I’m glad to see Dutalier is doing well with its modern nursery collections and they will continue to expand their modern nursery offerings. With partnerships like their giggle exclusives, they’re doing a great job raising brand awareness and visibility in this market, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of them!
I had a great visit with Dutailier at the ABC Kids Expo, and while their room displays were awesome, I must admit that the way the furniture was arranged made it hard to photograph. Hopefully you can still get an idea of what it was like.
Here you can see the prototype for a newer crib and dresser collection. I think the painted feet and green sliding dresser front are really fun. You can’t see in the photo, but the sides of the crib also have a green insert. I think this is a great way to add a little fun into the nursery even if it does reduce the versatility.
The Papaya collection isn’t new although this year they brought the furniture in lots of different color combinations. It’s paired with a blue Kelowna glider with an Aluminium base.
Below, the Pomelo 3-Drawer Dresser looks amazing in purple and the Classico recliner looks slick with the metal leg option.
There are two brand new nursery collections this year from Dutailier– the Biscotti collection…
… and the Cupcake Collection. I wish you could see the Cupcake dresser better in the photo but it’s really cute with circular impressions as the drawer pulls.
The Misti glider is a new addition to the Moderno collection.
Dutailier really has put together an impressive collection of well made, comfortable and beautiful modern gliders. Their selection is second to none and there are lots of great designs to choose from.
With updates to their website and additional photography, I hope to use more Dutailier in our nursery idea boards in the coming year and maybe even see some of their collections in photos of YOUR nurseries!
