Ovum Bassinet Via Etsy
It looks like Ovum Baby is now selling the Ovum bentwood bassinet on etsy. Who knew? This makes is only slightly easier to order one of these interesting pieces. Only slightly easier, because it’s still $1800.

I’d really love to check one of these out in person. Some new photography would be lovely as well…

Real Room Tour: Reed’s Nursery from Honey & Fitz
Dina, from the incredible blog Honey & Fitz, has been teasing Reed’s nursery ever since she announced her pregnancy. At least that’s how it seems to me because that’s how long I’ve been anticipating something incredible from this stylish and talented designer. With a new baby and a new home in a new city, I just knew she was going to go all out. Today she finally posted photos of the completed nursery and you’re going to have to take a look!
The jumping off point was the starry sky ceiling and the restful celestial theme grew from there.

You can’t go wrong with beautiful furniture pieces like Babyletto’s Hudson crib and a Nurseryworks Empire Rocker, but Dina brings it all together with her creativity and eye for detail.

The fabrics, color and textures are all layered perfectly. I’d love to just sit in this room!

Even if I didn’t know the next photo was of Reed’s nursery, I’d recognize that dresser immediately. This piece was repurposed from their last house and is even better here than it was in their master bedroom!

For many more photos and product and project details, go see the original post for Reed’s Nursery, and follow Honey & Fitz for more inspirational ideas from Dina. Thanks for sharing Reed’s nursery Dina– and he is so cute!!
Top 10 Modern Toy Boxes
It’s been a while since I updated my list of modern toy boxes and there have been a lot of changes to the list. Here is my current top 10…

1- Toy/Chaise from Iglooplay- $950
2- Owyn Toy Box from Mod Mom Furniture- $425
3- Pkolino Storage Toy Chest with Chalkboard Lid- $90
4- “Japchae” Toy Box from Cheme Designs- $175
5- Changing Trunk from Kalon Studios- $520
6- Modern Solid Wood and Metal Toy Box from Fabitechture- $850
7- Argington Fuji Toy Box- $350
8- Gracie Toy Box from Mod Mom Furniture- $475
9- APA Storage Box from Ikea- $15
10- Muir Reclaimed Toy Box from Amenity Home- $577
Some affiliate links included.
Before choosing one, make sure you are clear about the dimensions. You don’t want to order one and have it be much larger or smaller than you expected. #3 and #9 for example, are really small.
Do you NEED a toy box? Probably not, as bins, baskets and even closets can do the storage job for you, but there’s something so perfectly old-fashioned about a sturdy wooden chest for storing a child’s playthings. Imagine if our kids actually only had enough toys to fill it up!
Areaware Alphabet Blocks
