I don’t understand why parents insist on carrying infant car seats around. They’re heavy, and when you add a baby, it’s just not a great way to tote around your little one. When not wearing baby or if your infant has fallen asleep in the car, a stroller base that accepts a car seat is a no brainer… but what if your car seat turned into the stroller? That’s the magic of Doona. The infant car seat that converts into a stroller is coming this December.
As a car seat, the Doona snaps right into its base, but once you remove it, popping it into stroller form is as easy as opening a basic stroller.
Doona has also designed diaper bags especially to maximize the functionality of your Doona.
There’s a bag made to hang from the handle and one made to fit perfectly across the back.
While I wouldn’t use a Doona as my only stroller, it’s a great solution for the little errands where you might otherwise resort to just carrying around the car seat.
The Doona Infant Seat accommodates babies from 4 to 35 lbs and up to 32 inches. It will retail for about $350.
