Amber, sent me these photos of the nursery she created and designed for her little boy, Lucas. Her nesting instincts kicked in big time with a home renovation that resulted in this cozy, chic space full of texture and special details.
A vintage dresser is topped with a DIY changing tray and cute accessories. The art includes recycled calendar posters and enlarged book illustrations.
Amber used ebay to find lots of unique details including the lamp base.
The blocks were a DIY project with glue + blank blocks + some old prints. (I may have to do this myself- totally inspired!)
Amber re-covered an old wing back chair with some fabric she discovered and fell in love with. The space wouldn’t have the same impact without this bold and colorful choice.
I’m super impressed with the Handmade Chandelier which Amber created using an old lamp shade and some white felt. The rest of the details here were also custom made or re-purposed.
As you can see, this space started as completely bare bones, and with a little creativity and vision, became exactly the nursery Amber had hoped for.
See Amber’s nursery post for more photos and information about where she purchased things or how she made them! Also, be sure to visit her etsy shop Obsessivision. Her fine art macro photography has rich and textural quality, much like the one she created in Lucas’s nursery. Thanks for sharing your nursery and your etsy shop with us, Amber! I’m sure you’ll inspire a few moms-to-be with their own creative decorating projects!
