Real Room Tour: Tori Spelling’s Nursery for Little Finn

I love when celebrity nurseries are full of products and ideas that we can all purchase or emulate.  In this, Tori Spelling’s fourth (and my favorite) nursery, she and her longtime friends Bill Horn and Scout Masterson (aka: The Guncles) put together a space for Finn that looks “collected” rather than “decorated.”  This isn’t a space full of custom furniture and built ins.  You can really achieve this stylish look in your own home without hiring a decorator and a carpenter.

Tori was inspired by a vintage giraffe figurine that she spotted at a flea market early in her pregnancy.  She decided to execute the giraffe theme in a modern regency style with vintage touches.  Because of some unexpected complications during the pregnancy, Tori oversaw the details of her little one’s nursery from a hospital bed.

The Regency Crib and Savannah changer from ducduc nyc define the modern regency style and are the foundations of this glamorous nursery.

The bold turquoise and gold walls are a dramatic backdrop.  Amazingly, this look was achieved with Tempaper‘s Marrakesh Honey Jade temporary wallpaper.  The Guncles discovered the pattern and Tori’s husband Dean hung in her hospital room for her 2 1/2 months stay.  It was such a part of her and Finn’s journey together that she had to use it in his nursery at home as well.

The beautiful orange Beckett dresser from SPI Baby adds a great pop of color in the room and is a perfect home for a collection of vintage (and modern) giraffes.

On the changer you can see a custom orange ChangePad from Nook and Finn also enjoys a Pebble mattress.  Of course the Ubbi diaper pail is orange to match as well.

The comfy vintage looking rocker from Anthropologie happens to be named “Finn” so Tori took this as a sign that it was the perfect chair for her little boy.

Tori and the Guncles trolled Etsy and eBay for all the vintage giraffe artwork and figurines that appear throughout the room.  I’m kinda jealous of the awesome giraffe collection they gathered together!

In addition to some fancy furniture pieces, this nursery, like so many of yours, includes DIYs, crafts and sale finds.  Tori made the rug by sewing together some vintage place mats from an estate sale.  The yellow bookshelf was a yard sale find that Finn’s older siblings helped paint to match his chair.  Tori worked with a friend who taught her how to macramé to make the mobile with paper mâché giraffes.

Congratulations to Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott on Finn’s safe arrival.  He’s a lucky little boy to have his special space and loving family to come home to.
