I Buy Modern: For My Boys For the Holidays

1- Lego Education World People Set- $40 This set of 16 Lego Duplo figures adds a little variety to the characters found in other Duplo sets. It’s a great addition to our Lego Duplo collection.
2- Melissa & Doug Ice Cream Scoop Set- $30 We already have the Pizza Party and now for dessert, we’ll be having ice cream!
3- 3D Feel & Find- $30 This is fun as a toy or as a game. We play as a family with everyone taking turns feeling in the bag and trying to find one of the shapes that they need.
4- Sprig Soarin’ Sea Plane- $25 and Sprig Dolpin Adventure Playset- $30 These two Sprig Toy sets will be a fun addition to our bath time toy collection
5- Take-a-Part Airplane- We also have the Roadster and they’re perfect for playing mechanic. These might be plastic with battery operated tools, but there’a a lot of fun to be had taking these apart and putting them back together.
6- BrickStix- $6 each pack (we got Metro, Space and Transport so far) These are more fun than I even expected. Reusable cling decals turn stacks of plain bricks into anything you can imagine. Also help to dress up more ordinary Lego sets. These are going to be lots of fun. Can’t wait to get the rest of the sets!
7- Lego MiniFigure Speech Bubbles- $10 These are a hoot for my little Lego fanatic.
What were some of your children’s favorite gifts?
The ice cream scoop set looks amazing! Melissa and Doug items always get my attention.

Our new 1year old, as of Christmas eve, loves his work table toy, it looks just like his dads. Complete with peg board and tools. He plays with it most of the day. Ge also loves, so far, his (forget the brand . . . Skip hop maybe) monster stacking toys. They are like silicon cups that mix and match. I love all of our melissa and Doug items. My husband and I find ourselves restacking the blocks and the train blocks while Jackson sleeps.
