My New Toy Finds from ABC Kids Expo 2011

My second day at ABC Kids Expo, I was out for fun and looking for toys.  I’m always searching for the best modern vehicles, blocks, stuffies, rattles, rings, teethers, dollhouses, riding toys and rocking toys for my modern toy guide.

The first thing I was excited to see (finally!) was the School Bus from Green Toys.  It’s a great addition to their collection of vehicles made from 100% recycled plastic.

I’m a big fan of Plan Toys.  My boys would have loved these new toys like the Leaf Magnifier, Caterpillar Telescope, Snail Measuring Tape and Tool Belt.  The scale and cash register expand the extensive wooden play food collection.

I finally got to see the Uptown Espresso Kitchen in person while visiting with Kidkraft.  Yup, still want one.

And KidKraft’s So Chic Dollhouse is a nice modern styled dollhouse if you want something really huge.  Yes, I’m going to put in a little holiday shopping reminder here in October.

Sevi is coming out with a nice new dollhouse.  The figures are pretty small so this is for the older kids, but would be cute on display until they can play with the pieces.

And probably my favorite new dollhouse find was the All Season House from educo.  Great colors, small footprint to play area ratio and the green roof flips over to a white side for “winter”.

We’ve been talking about cardboard playhouses lately, but I haven’t seen anything like this awesome kitchen and car from Green Town Toys.  Their castle is really nice as well and the cardboard chairs are adorable.

The topozoo display caught my eye as I went by.  I saw them more as great decor because of their size, but these mix and match puzzle toys are fun, clever, eco-friendly and not that expensive.  The sets of 3 animals (safari, monsters or dinosaurs) are just $30.  The new owl has felt pieces and would look great on a shelf.

The last thing I want to share is the Skwish Mobile from Manhattan Toy.  It’s a nice wooden mobile that looks great from baby’s perspective below as well as in the room.

Are any of my toy finds going on your holiday lists?
