My Modern Nursery #43: The American Southwest
As you may have noticed, I was gone last week. We headed to Arizona for a family vacation and an extreme change of scenery. This area around Sedona, know as “Red Rock Country” is one of my favorite destinations in the world for the climate and the sights.
Here’s just a little sampling of the flavor of the area…

As we drove around admiring the homes and thinking about the magnificent views they must have, I dreamt of staying in Sedona permanently. Of course, I imagined the type of modern nursery that would suit the local architecture. This is what I came up with.
2- Sand Painted Disc and Turquoise Floating Disc from Red Dove Art- $185 each
3- Stuffed Obax Roadrunner 12″- $18
Spot on Square Roh Dresser – Walnut / White- $1290
4- P’Kolino Clothes Tree, White- $90
5- White Monte Joya Rocker with Walnut Base and Paul Smith Brown Lumbar Pillow- $1030
6- Heather Levine Wall Hanging
7- Roh Crib – 1 Side Clear – Walnut / White- $1590
9- Svan Bouncer – Chocolate / Orange- $120
10- Natural Tree-Stump Side Table from West Elm- $200
No, it’s not cheap, but neither is Sedona real estate.
Great look and even though it is Southwest in feel, I did not have the urge to sing “Home on the Range”. Great job!
Love the photos from Arizona, I bet it was a nice time for you guys.
Gorgeous!!!
hmm well done Esther! Looks very much like our vacation

I love this and I love that it doesn’t feel kitschy, just a genuine interpretation of the feeling in the American Southwest. Great job!
