With just a couple weeks to spare, Jenna, of The Suburban Urbanist, has finished transforming a bland and slightly awkward space into a bright and comfortable nursery. She has a fun but sophisticated style that is reflected throughout her home and carries into this happy space as well.
The view from the entrance includes the ever-popular Poang chair from Ikea, bold yellow striped curtains (made from a West Elm shower curtain!) and the inspiration for the room, a Henry the Lion Poster from a modern eden.
A bench used as a window seat grounds the window area and adds seating and low storage.
The wall decals are Animals Alphabetized by a modern eden from blik. It’s so much fun to see these great new decals used in a real space, and of course they go with the lion print on the wall as well.
Jenna selected the BabyMod Parklane crib and it seems to fit just perfectly here. It makes for such a cozy little nook to sleep in.
Finally, this display wall has little shelves and cubbies to display the latest treasures and accessories, and can be changed around at will.
It’s so much fun to take a look at Jenna’s original design board and then see how it has come to life.

Thanks Jenna for sharing the pictures of this lovely nursery! You did a fantastic job and I’m sure your style and savvy decorating will inspire others. I’m already inspired to add some yellow to my neutral spaces!
(If you would like me to feature your nursery here as well, please drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org. I just love getting those emails with photos or links to a nursery I’ve never seen. It really makes my day when you email me!)
