Allison designed a bright and creative space for her son Declan. It’s a vintage/modern mix with a lot of personal DIY touches– starting with the letters spelling out his name.
The crib is Amy Coe’s Westport crib, which you can get right now on amazon. It was a great affordable two-tone option with a storage drawer. Hercule the Elephant was an adorable stand-in until Declan arrived to claim his place in the crib.
The room is grounded by the Dash and Albert striped rug. The stripes are fresh and clean. The Glider/Recliner is frrom JCPenny and really looks quite good and very comfortable. A steal for $300.
What really caught my interest in this nursery was the set of Jenn Ski Animal Alphabet cards. I had been working with an expectant mother who wanted to use just these cards as the inspiration for her nursery and I suggested hanging them just like this! I love how it turned out here.
As usual, an Expedit from Ikea is a storage workhorse in any room and looks great here. I love the white boxes lined up at the bottom. They keep the shelving from looking cluttered.
The art wall over the dresser is perfection. It features custom art and some paint-by-numbers landscapes. The colors come together beautifully! Allison also created the mobile herself. This side of the room is my favorite.
Thank you so much Allison for sharing all the photos of your very creative nursery. I hope Declan is enjoying his space! Congratulations!
