They Posted These So I Don’t Have To

These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

If you’re looking for fun drawer pulls, look here first.  A great post on li’l magoolie with ways to dress up an ordinary drawer.

Coos & Ahhs put together a great post featuring her favorite plastic toys.  We particulary love Schleich at our house and I want a record player too!

Ohdeedoh found these pine bookholders on the front page of etsy.  From Wonderland Furniture, they make for great nursery storage/decor.

Take a peak at these crazy space age kids’ spaces on daddytypes.  Once you get past the “furniture,” take a look at the light fixtures!

House of Turquoise posted pictures of this amazing nursery featuring the $1600 Ioline Crib from Kalon Studios.

The Overachiever Crib (etc…) from Q Collection Junior

I already have Q Collection Jr. on my list of modern crib options, but the new Overachiever is worth bringing to your attention.  You may have seen my pictures of the crib among my furniture finds at ABC Kids in October….

Bassinet, crib and twin bed

…but you can now place your order for one of these ultra-convertible cribs.

For $1500 (bear with me) this crib includes 7 different conversion options, Bassinet (rock or not), Crib (rock or not), Changer, Daybed, and Toddler bed.  Q Collection cribs are also FSC and Greenguard certified and hand-made in the USA.

The Overachiever is available in Moonlight, Mercury or Cloud (natural, light gray, white).

You can order one now from Fawn & Forest (an affiliate) or a few other select retailers.

Happy 1st Birthday to buymodernbaby: the blog!

It’s been 1 year since my first post and I think I’ve got the hang of this blogging thing!  My wish is that you keep coming back (oh, and cake, lots of cake!). xoxo

Real Room Tour: Judah’s Cozy Nursery

Rachel from A Serene Life said her goal for her son Judah’s nursery was for it to be “modern and playful with a few vintage touches here and there.”  I’m sure you’ll agree she accomplished just that.

She explains, “Kid’s rooms are a great excuse to unleash your inner child and decorate with things you may not be able to get away with in the rest of your house.”  I completely agree– that’s why it’s so much fun to do!

The orange, green, brown and light blue color scheme is unexpected but looks fantastic!  I love how the colors look cohesive, but any other color goes in the room as well because the pillow on the chair ties them all together.  Kids tend to have lots of colorful books and toys so why not embrace the rainbow!

The dresser/changer (Baby Mod Olivia) has a fun circle design detail that you’ll see carried on throughout the room like with the orange paper globes.

The chair and ottoman were found at Kohls, and positioned next to the bookcase, they are a perfect place to sit and read.

The crib is an Olivia Crib by Baby Mod, and is an excellent choice for $300.

New Rikshaw Design Crib Sets

Rikshaw Design is one of my favorite brands on buymodernbabybedding and I’m happy to share what’s new for the nursery from them this year.

First is Goa, a fresh, green, gender neutral set.

The new Taj crib set comes in blue, pink and green.  It features paisley, elephant and monkey prints.

Both sets are also available in twin bedding sizes, so you can keep the same decor as your child grows.  It’s also a great choice for kids who are sharing a room when one is in a crib and the other is older and using a twin bed.

Baby Mod Modena Crib

One of Babyletto’s new cribs is now available for purchase.  You can get the Modena 3-in-1 Fixed-Side Convertible Crib in White, Navy, Espresso or Cool Grey for $250 at Walmart.

The Crib, 3 Drawer Changing Table and Mattress bundle is $500.

Thanks to Caitlin for the heads-up on this one!
