Ohdeedoh recently published “10 Fabric Patterns for an Aviary-Inspired Room” so I took that cue and using my favorite pattern in the group, created this nursery inspiration board.
The inspiration fabric is by trois miettes on Spoonflower and is called “birdhouse”

GORGEOUS! I have that rug in yellow on my own nursery mood board right now – I’m on the fence – do you think the woven wool would be to harsh on little knees? I love the look of the rug, but am thinking I’ll have to find a hooked or tufted one instead. What do you think?
(Just found the blog and am in LOVE – thanks!)
Julie- I agree- for practical purposes, I much prefer a tufted rug. Someplace you can lay down and play alongside your baby/toddler etc…
Nicole at Chic Cheap nursery did a post with yellow rugs a while back… http://www.chiccheapnursery.com/2010/get-it-for-less/mellow-yellow/
You should check that out and see if it leads you anywhere.
Thanks for your comment and please send photos of your room when its done!
